Diva Marciana Fourée Denarius. Mule type with reverse of Hadrian. Uncertain mint, circa AD 112-114. DIVA AVGVSTA MARCIANA, diademed and draped bust of Marciana right, wearing pearl necklace, with hair elaborately arranged and bound into tight bun high at back of head / COS III, Eagle standing facing on thunderbolt, head left, wings spread. Cf. RIC 745 (Trajan) for obv. type and similar rev. with differing legend; RIC 191 (Hadrian) for this rev. type; Baldwins 42, 349 for similar fourée of Marciana of this type; Roma E-4, 608 for this rev. type as a fourée of Hadrian. 2.69g, 18mm, 5h.
Near Extremely Fine. Silvering almost fully intact, some deposits on surface. An interesting fourée in excellent condition.
