His bare head right, P (artist's signature) hidden in hair behind ear; ANTON AVG IMP COS DES III III V R P C around / M SILANVS AVG / Q PRO COS in two lines; last letters struck again near the edge. CRI 346. Crawford 542/1. Sydenham 1208. RSC 71. Near Very Fine; attractive dark iridescent toning; some light old scratches; flan delamination at 1'; reverse legend, last three letters struck twice. Rare.
