Ionia, Ephesos. Silver Cistophoric Tetradrachm (12.65 g), ca. 180-67 BC. CY 2 (138/7 BC). Serpent emerging from within cista mystica with open lid; all within ivy wreath. Reverse: EΦE to left, bow case between two entwined serpents; in upper right field, date (B); in right field, facing half-length bust of Artemis Ephesia. Kleiner & Noe series 36; SNG von Aulock 1858.
