Great Britain. Halfcrown, ND. S.2868. Charles I, 1625-1649. York mint. Obverse, detailed image of king on horseback, EBOR below. Reverse; Crowned oval shield, C R (Carolus Rex) at sides. Somewhat irregular flan at the top of the obverse, but not unusual for a coin made in haste while the English Civil War raged. Overall high grade and sharp in places. Lightly and attractively toned. NGC graded EF-45. Estimate Value $700 - 800
