Reverse, Britannia seated facing left on rock, holding trident and olive branch, cornucopia to right, beehive to left, within ruled garter with denomination, date below, toothed border both sides. This is not mentioned in many reference works, although the heavy copper Bank Dollar pattern from the same dies is itemised by ESC as number 164A. This silver Proof is however listed in the Coincraft 2000 catalogue as G3CR-162 and priced (then) at £1700 in Extremely Fine -a tidy sum 16-17 years ago. It is believed that around 3 examples exist of the thick silver Proof. Attractively toned in shades of blue and cerise, there are only the tiniest of surface and edge abrasions on what is an extremely rare and attractive pattern.
