1789 TOKEN Mott Token, Thin Planchet, Plain Edge MS63 Brown NGC. Breen-1021, Rulau-E-NY-611. An unmarked and coruscating medium to deep brown example. The late die state with a buckled central obverse, a large break from the upper left clock corner, and soft definition on the central reverse. A small curved clip is noted at 2:30, as made. Although dated 1789, the Mott token was likely issued during the Hard Times era. Listed on page 76 of the 2017 Guide Book.
