Lincoln Cents
1955 1C Doubled Die Obverse, FS-101, MS64 Brown NGC. CAC. The doubled die 1955 cent created a hobby sensation upon release. The strong first hubbing, and the wide clockwise spread between hubbings, ensured its status as the most famous variety of its kind. A quantity were soon saved from commerce, but most survivors are toned Brown, such as the present Choice cent. Protected areas retain the initial orange-gold color. Impressively devoid of spots or marks.
