Buffalo Nickels
1917-D 5C MS65 PCGS. Here is a well-preserved coin with satiny luster and iridescent champagne toning. The reverse is struck from a fresh die, while the obverse shows evidence of lapping and die erosion in the fields. Both sides have slightly weak strike definition on the central high points as well as on the Bison's head and the tips of the Indian's feathers. PCGS has seen only 25 numerically finer representatives (1/17).
