1936-D 5C 3 1/2 Legs, FS-901, VF30 PCGS. This is a rare Buffalo nickel variety that is rapidly growing in popularity, due to its association with the more-famous, less-elusive 1937-D Three-Legged Buffalo, and also because of the expanding Registry Set phenomenon at PCGS and at NGC. This variety is worth a whopping nine points in the PCGS Complete Variety collection, and five in the Major Variety collection. This attractive coin has light, even wear and consistent nickel-gray toning, giving every appearance of a coin that some fortunate collector pulled out of circulation.
