Early Half Dimes
1797 H10C 13 Stars, V-1, LM-4, R.5, VG8 NGC. The Guide Book lists three varieties of 1797 half dimes, and the 13 Stars variety is rarest. It is represented solely by Valentine-1, the final die marriage struck bearing that date. This example has bold legends and microgranular sea-green and slate-gray surfaces. Scattered incidental marks are of little import. Housed in a former generation holder.
