1857 25C PR62 NGC. CAC. Briggs 7-G. Navy-blue, lavender, and straw-gold toning endow this fully struck and flashy specimen. The eye appeal is exceptional for the third-party grade. The mintages of proof coins were not recorded until 1859, but the 1857 is undoubtedly rare in proof format. PCGS estimates 75 to 100 examples are known. Certified in a former generation holder.
