1908-D 25C MS66 NGC. The Denver facility produced 5.7 million quarters in its third year of operation. Examples are rarely encountered in MS66. Dramatic russet and slate-gray toning covers the obverse of this piece, and radiant mint brilliance illuminates the reverse. Several stars show strike softness, but the usually weak right shield corner is bold. Census: 4 in 66, 4 finer (1/17).
