Proof Barber Quarters
1902 25C PR67 NGC. A conditionally elusive Superb Gem example of this early 20th century proof quarter. This piece is fully struck, and modest field-device contrast is seen on the reverse -- unusual and desirable for proofs of this period. The obverse shows delicate multicolor peripheral toning around a soft champagne and lavender interior, while the reverse displays a much more dominating violet and pale gold palette. Census: 19 in 67 (1 in 67★, 1 in 67+★), 5 finer (1/17).
