Standing Liberty Quarters
1923-S 25C MS63 Full Head NGC. Nearly untoned, a faint hint of olive-gold toning in the right obverse field joins the bright, satiny mint luster that radiates from both sides of this Select Uncirculated quarter. As often seen on the issue, slight weakness on two of the shield rivets is noted, although the other devices are sharply struck. Marks are limited to Mint-related parallel die striations -- perhaps from planchet preparation, or from polishing to remove clash marks. A brilliant Full Head coin, pleasing in all respects.
