1939 25C PR68 NGC. An exceptionally well-preserved proof, one of 8,795 pieces produced and among the lowest proof mintages of the series. Fully struck throughout (especially on Washington's portrait), the mirrored surfaces are immaculate and lightly iridescent in translucent shades of gold, blue, and lavender. Neither PCGS nor NGC has seen a numerically finer proof. Census: 16 in 68, 0 finer (12/16).
