1788 NJERSY New Jersey Copper, Head Left VF25 PCGS. Maris 50-f, W-5475, R.3. Just three die marriages of New Jersey coppers depict the horse head facing left. Examples trade for many multiples of the relatively common 1788 Head Right subtype. This is a deep walnut-brown representative with evenly microgranular surfaces. On the reverse, a few faded hair-thin marks emerge beneath a lens. Listed on page 73 of the 2017 Guide Book.
