Proof Indian Cents
1875 1C PR65 Red Cameo NGC. The 1875 is a moderately challenging date in high grades, with collectors often opting instead for a pleasing proof representative. This Gem Cameo proof, however, is a major rarity. Specimens are extremely rare this fine with such contrast, and only a single Cameo proof is graded higher at both services combined. Each side is fire-orange with considerable reflectivity in the fields. Minor carbon is noted on the obverse. Census: 3 in 65 Cameo, 0 finer (1/17).
