Three Cent Silver
1854 3CS MS66 PCGS. The three cent silver denomination was introduced in 1851, and the design was slightly modified three years later. In 1854, lines were added around the star and olive leaves above the denomination. These first-year Type Two coins are generally seen through MS65 condition. Premium Gems are very rare, and finer coins are practically unobtainable. This is an all-brilliant, strongly detailed example with bold clash marks on each side. Population: 11 in 66, 2 finer (1/17).
