Bust Half Dimes
1833 H10C V-6, LM-9, R.2, MS67 PCGS. A pivotal year in the history of the Philadelphia Mint as the government agency moved to a new physical building early in 1833, greatly expanding production capacity. The obverse die was used for seven previous die marriages, representing three other varieties, before appearing here, now with a heavy die crack along the front of the cap to the upper obverse border. This gorgeous Superb Gem exhibits frosty devices and satiny fields, with mostly brilliant surfaces at the centers, inside a frame of lovely iridescent toning. Population (all varieties included): 12 in 67 (1 in 67+), 0 finer (1/17).
