Seated Dimes
1874-CC 10C Arrows, F-101, R.4, VG10 PCGS. The 1874-CC is a major key date in the Seated dime series, boasting a small mintage of 10,817 pieces. Survivors are rare in all grades and exist almost exclusively in low grades or with various environmental impairments. The present VG example is about the best that most collectors will have a chance to acquire, as the surfaces are smooth and free of impairments. Deep olive-gray toning encompasses each side as is typical for the issue and grade. LIBERTY is almost entirely visible, although a well-worn wreath on the reverse prevents a Fine 12 grade. Population: 5 in 10, 23 finer (1/17).
