Bust Quarters
1832 25C B-2, R.2, MS64 PCGS. Tompkins Die State 2/2. As a rule, few 1832 quarters of either the B-1 or B-2 variety exist in high Mint State. We have only offered a few pieces over the years. Coppery-orange and purplish-blue toning benefit from strong mint luster that glows from beneath the rich patina of this near-Gem Browning-2 quarter. The surfaces are remarkably free of abrasions save for two or three faint lines in the left obverse field, while the strike is bold except at the centers of stars 1 to 3 and the top fold of Liberty's cap. Population (all varieties): 15 in 64, 3 finer (1/17).
