Standing Liberty Quarters
1920-S 25C MS65 Full Head PCGS. A blush of champagne toning graces satin luster on this Gem Full Head 1920-S quarter. The shield rivets are also better defined than normal, and the central gown folds and the leading edge of the eagle's left (facing) wing are comparably well-defined. The top of the date numerals blend with the pedestal as normal. The rarity of this coin in its given grade is underappreciated by many collectors. The 1920-S is seldom offered in any Full Head grade, and Gems are a minority. Above MS65 Full Head, the 1920-S becomes extremely rare. This example is highly appealing for the grade and issue. Population: 17 in 65 (1 in 65+) Full Head, 9 finer (12/16).
