Early Half Dollars
1794 50C O-104, T-11, R.5, Good 4 PCGS Secure. Ex: Newman. The rim die break at 4 o'clock on the reverse is usual for the variety. All legends are clear except OF, which is faint but readable. A few right-side stars fade into the rim. At one time, the coin was stored in one of Eric P. Newman's brown paper envelopes where it developed a protective patina of antique gray toning. The smooth surfaces are a delight for this much abused date, type, and the assigned grade.
