Early Half Dollars
1795 50C 2 Leaves, O-108a, T-17, R.4, VF35 NGC. Tompkins Die State 4/3. The surfaces are glossy beneath the bluish-gray toning. A glass reveals small marks and a few planchet pits, but they are tiny and far less visible in-hand. Struck from the late die stage with numerous peripheral die cracks on both sides. Toned-over adjustment marks are noted across the central reverse.
