Bust Half Dollars
1819/8 50C Large 9, O-104, R.1, MS63 PCGS. CAC. Beautifully toned and sharply struck, this attractive, Select Uncirculated bust half is identified by a large 9 over the 8 underdigit and an easily noticed recutting of star 2. Star 4 is less obviously recut. The reverse shows missing upper left serifs of the Es to confirm the O-104 variety. Golden-gray centers reveal much soft luster and deepen to burnt-orange and electric blue peripheries. In Select Mint State, this bust half is in the Condition Census for the variety or nearly so.
