1836 P$1 Name on Base, Judd-60 Original, Pollock-65, R.1 -- Rim Damage -- PCGS Genuine. XF Details. Silver. Plain Edge. Die Alignment I (center of Liberty's head is opposite the D in DOLLAR). Die State B. This is the second earliest die state known for 1836 Originals, and is characterized by tiny die chips between the dentils above the final A in AMERICA. The only earlier state is State A, lacking even these die defects. The surfaces are deep blue-gray with faint underlying iridescence. Each side is free from notable imperfections, except for the rim ding close to 9 o'clock on the reverse.
