Morgan Dollars
1879-CC $1 MS63 PCGS. CAC. Large CC Normal Mintmark. Leroy Van Allen estimates about two-thirds of the 756,000-piece mintage are the Normal Mintmark variety, a mintage that is overstated due to melting of an unknown number of coins under the authority of the 1918 Pittman Act. Semireflective surfaces surround the frosted devices of this Select Uncirculated example, housed in a first generation PCGS holder with CAC endorsement. Only a few small marks are visible across the essentially brilliant fields and motifs.
