GSA Dollars
1879-CC $1 GSA MS62+ NGC. Merely 4,123 examples of the 1879-CC were sold as part of the GSA release of the 1970s, roughly on par with 1890-CC. The two dates represent the scarcest Carson City semikeys after the famous 1889-CC. This example has a Normal Mintmark and retains complete brilliance throughout. Slight contrast is evident between the partly frosted motifs and moderately reflective fields. A lovely example of this elusive early issue.
