Morgan Dollars
1893-O $1 MS63 PCGS. CAC. With the lowest mintage of any New Orleans Morgan dollar, the 1893-O is scarce in both an absolute sense as well as conditionally rare in higher Mint State grades. Thick mint frost blankets both sides of this Select Uncirculated example, where cartwheel mint luster glows softly beneath the lightly toned surfaces. Crescents of attractive sea-green, light-blue, and orange-gold toning appear on each side. Many 1893-O coins lack eye appeal, yet this piece is pleasing and sharp. PCGS reports just 95 numerically finer examples. The issue is especially coveted with a green CAC label that is often sought but seldom granted. CAC: 18 in 63, 17 finer (1/17).
