1839-C $2 1/2 AU50 PCGS. Winter-2, Variety 22, R.4. The 1839-C is one of two Classic Head Charlotte quarter eagles, both with mintmarks on the obverse above the date. This yellow-gold AU example displays bold central devices with slight weakness on the peripheral stars, as usual. The surfaces are lightly abraded as expected. Housed in a green label holder.
