Liberty Quarter Eagles
1858 $2 1/2 MS64 PCGS. CAC. The 1858 is among the more plentiful quarter eagles of this period, although Mint State coins are elusive, and Choice examples are rarely offered. This CAC-endorsed coin displays softly frosted bronze-gold luster with minimal abrasions. Slight strike weakness is seen along the left edge of the shield and at its center, but the obverse portrait and stars are well-defined. Finer representatives are extremely rare. Population: 7 in 64, 1 finer. CAC: 1 in 64, 0 finer (1/17).
