1880-CC $5 AU58 PCGS. Variety 1-A. The 1880-CC Liberty half eagle claims a mintage of 51,107 pieces, but the issue is more difficult to locate than that figure would suggest. This attractive near-Mint representative shows just a trace of wear on the sharply detailed design elements and the lightly abraded orange-gold surfaces retain traces of original mint luster. Population: 36 in 58 (2 in 58+), 13 finer (1/17).
