Indian Half Eagles
1911-S $5 MS63+ PCGS. The 1911-S half eagle had a mintage in excess of 1.4 million coins, trailing only the 1909-D as the highest total in the series. Still, examples of this date are rarely seen finer than MS63. This piece is Plus-graded at the Select level and well-defined throughout, with deep reddish-gold color over each side that effectively draws the eye away from a few scattered abrasions.
