Indian Half Eagles
1913 $5 MS65 PCGS. The 1913 Indian five is very scarce at the Gem level and virtually unobtainable any finer, despite a mintage that exceeds 900,000 pieces. This radiant and frosted MS65 example displays vibrant medium orange-gold color and a pinpoint-sharp strike. Often downgraded for bagmarks, the issue is never entirely mark-free, yet this coin shows only a handful of tiny contacts, most of which are in the reverse fields. The eye appeal is terrific. Population: 54 in 65, 1 finer (1/17).
