Liberty Double Eagles
1883-CC $20 AU58 NGC. CAC. Variety 2-A. The second C in the mintmark is partly over the D. The 1883-CC has a fairly low mintage of 59,962 coins, but it qualifies as one of the more accessible issues from that branch mint. Well-preserved near-Mint examples are scarce, while Uncirculated survivors are exceedingly elusive and out of reach for most collectors. This is a marvelous, original representative with green-gold color. Each side remains lustrous and shows remarkably few abrasions for a CC twenty. Excellent eye appeal.
