Commemorative Gold
1903 G$1 Louisiana Purchase, McKinley Gold Dollar MS67+ PCGS. The obverse displays frosty yellow-gold luster with green highlights across gleaming, sharply struck surfaces. A tiny rim nick at 9 o'clock is the sole mark seen under a loupe. Some blending of the reverse dentils -- normal for the issue -- is noted, along with an interesting die crack from the edge between S and T of ST. LOUIS that branches north and west with a small retained cud. A dot of red toning at OF from the copper alloy pedigrees this attractive, high-end Superb Gem. Population: 5 in 67+, 2 finer (1/17).
