Commemorative Gold
1905 G$1 Lewis and Clark Gold Dollar MS65+ PCGS. CAC. The Mint distributed 10,000 Lewis and Clark gold dollars in 1905 (plus 41 coins for assaying), as it had in 1904, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of that famous expedition. The 1905 coins are scarcer than their earlier-dated counterparts in Gem condition. This frosty, lemon-gold representative offers strong strike detail, save for marginal weakness at the left border on each side. There are no marks to report.
