1905 G$1 Lewis and Clark Gold Dollar MS66+ NGC. Struck in both 1904 and 1905, the Lewis and Clark gold dollar saw only a small percentage of its authorized mintage produced, and most of those coins did not sell. Just 10,041 pieces of the 1905 issue were distributed as the scarcer of the two dates in terms of survivors. This is a high-end Premium Gem example, lustrous and immaculately preserved with a sharp strike. Some stippled die erosion at the margins does not distract from the outstanding eye appeal. Census: 4 in 66+, 1 in 66★, 3 finer (1/17).
