Betts-425. 1759 British Commanders. Brass -- Environmental Damage -- PCGS Genuine. AU Details. Commemorating the 1758 and 1759 victories in America and Europe, the obverse depicts facing images of King George on the left and Frederick I of Prussia on the right. The reverse shows seven allied commanders including H. William Pitt, who was considered the "inspiring genius" of the war, Prince Ferdinand, Prince Henry, Duke Brunswig, Admiral Boscawen, Colonel Clive, and General L. Amherst. Chestnut and olive-brown surfaces exhibit light yellow on the high points, with whitish corrosion at the upper obverse and on two of the reverse figures. 46.5 mm, 26.8 gm. (Est. $1,000-$1,500).
