Early Half Dollars
1806 50C Pointed 6, Stem, O-123, T-23, Low R.5, AU53 NGC. The 1 in the date touches the curl and the 6 touches the bust, and two small tines extend from the shield points, identifying the scarce O-123 variety. This attractive AU53 example is well-detailed, with a touch of the always seen softness on the central reverse. Shades of greenish-gold and bluish-gray toning blanket the lightly abraded surfaces, with much original mint luster underneath.
