Reeded Edge Half Dollars
1839-O 50C GR-5, High R.4, XF45 NGC. Concerning GR-5, Dick Graham writes, "A very scarce variety, which is unknown at this time in Mint State. Finding an original, no problem coin in any grade will be a very difficult task, and will demand both perseverance and patience on the part of a collector." This well-defined cream-gray example displays ample pockets of luster. The sole mentionable mark is above the eagle's left (facing) shoulder.
