Seated Half Dollars
1852 50C WB-101 MS63 PCGS. A splendid example with light to medium olive-gold and plum-mauve toning. Lustrous and minimally marked with softness noted on Liberty's hair and nearby stars. The 1852 has a mintage of only 77,130 pieces, and at least a portion of the issue was likely melted by speculators, since the bullion value exceeded face due to the California Gold Rush. Population: 21 in 63, 10 finer (1/17).
