Seated Half Dollars
1880 50C Closed Bud, WB-102, MS64 PCGS. The fields are semiprooflike, contrasting sharply with richly frosted motifs on each side of this Choice half. Brilliant-white except for a thin band of gold around the borders, the coin is razor-sharp and only a some light obverse ticks are of note. Gleaming mint luster streams from both sides of this near-Gem example, one of only 8,400 circulation strikes produced. Population: 20 in 64, 45 finer (1/17).
