1865 50C PR64 NGC. A richly toned near-Gem proof, fully struck and with few distractions of any kind. The mirrored fields and frosted devices are equally and comprehensively toned in shades of cobalt-blue, violet, and gleaming gold. A few light lines are hidden in the toning above the eagle's right wing, but overall the reflective surfaces are Choice and appealing. Census: 54 in 64 (2 in 64+), 39 finer (1/17).
