Proof Seated Half Dollars
1886 50C PR65 PCGS. A thin ribbon of sea-green toning at the rims surrounds the glassy-mirrored, champagne-gold fields on the obverse, while the reverse is colorfully toned in blue, magenta, and gold shades. The central devices are fully struck and lightly frosted for pleasing contrast despite the all-encompassing toning. A few fine lines in the right obverse field are noted, although they are of little distraction on this lovely Gem proof. Population: 23 in 65, 20 finer (1/17).
