1799 $1 Irregular Date, 15 Stars Reverse, B-4, BB-153, R.4, VF35 PCGS. Bowers Die State II, with clashed denticles near stars 1 to 6. This Irregular Date variety is of medium scarcity, usually found in VF to XF condition. No Mint State examples are known, according to the most up-to-date versions of Bowers' Silver Dollar Encyclopedia. Varying shades of light and dark gray mix with daubs of olive-gold patina. Light blending occurs on cheek and upper hair curls, and the eagle's feathers and shield. Population: 5 in 35, 8 finer (1/17).
