Seated Dollars
1847 $1 MS62 PCGS. OC-2. Osburn-Cushing Die State d/b. Housed in an old green label holder. Attractive swaths of bluish-gray toning join silver-gray patina over softly reflective and lustrous fields. A few light bagmarks are visible under a loupe, but they do not diminish the pleasing, original eye appeal. The strike is typical for the issue with slight blending on the hair and star centers. The 1847 is one of the more available No Motto Seated dollars, yet it is moderately scarce in all Uncirculated grades. Population: 16 in 62 (1 in 62+), 39 finer (12/16).
