1879 $1 MS66+ PCGS. CAC. This lustrous and satiny high-end Premium Gem Morgan is as distinctive as it is delightful. Imbued with a swath of iridescent toning at the lower right quadrant of the obverse, shades of sun-gold meld into lavender and tangerine-orange hues, while the balance of the coin (both front and back) is brilliant and silver-white. There are virtually no marks of any consequence on the coin for the assigned grade. The sharpness of the strike is unmistakable. Population: 43 in 66+, 5 finer. CAC: 50 in 66, 0 finer (1/17).
