1886-O $1 Clashed E, VAM-1A1, MS61 NGC. A Top 100 Variety. The variety is undesignated on the NGC holder, but the letter E from LIBERTY is prominently clashed below the tailfeathers. The double-clashed variant of VAM-1A1, without the transfer of the first T in TRUST characteristic of VAM-1A2. Lustrous, nicely struck, and pleasing for the MS61 level. Rich orange-gold toning graces the reverse border.
