1889-O $1 MS64 Deep Prooflike NGC. CAC. Overall, Uncirculated examples of the 1889-O are readily available but Gems are scarce and those with deep mirrors are rare. This near-Gem Deep Prooflike example displays strong cameo contrast and a clean cheek on Liberty. A thin band of gold toning at the rims surrounds brilliant-silver surfaces. Field ticks are sparse and tiny. The sole abrasion to mention is a short reeding mark above the eagle's head. The strike is sharp for this O-Mint dollar. Housed in a previous generation, pre-barcode NGC holder with CAC endorsement. Census: 13 in 64 Deep Mirror Prooflike, 7 finer. CAC: 4 in 64, 1 finer (1/17).
